Registration for Fall 2026 IS OPEN.
Fall practices will start towards the end of August with games starting in September and running through mid-October.
Ages and Teams
LFYS primarily serves U9-U18 players through 11th grade. A player’s playing age is determined by their birthdate. Starting Fall 2027, Aug 1 – July 31 is use to groups players to more closely match grade levels. This US Soccer tool will help determine your child’s age level.
The club organizes teams according to ages, genders and roster size limits. Younger (U8) and older (U19) players can register and will be rostered if we have team openings.
For the fall season, we only have U10 and U12 teams – kids in 6th grade and over (boys) and 7th grade and older (girls) can play soccer through the Little Falls School District.
Practices and Games
Practices begin in April, and games start around the first week of May and run through July 2. Games are usually held on weekday evenings. You can expect 8-10 games, half home and half away. Coaches set practice days and times, 2-3 times per week.
Fall teams will start practice in late August with games in September and October. All teams will be playing in a tournament in St. Cloud the weekend of October 3rd and 4th.
As a volunteer driven organization, we need parents to coach and to serve as team managers and on our Board. Please connect if you are interested in joining us!
Payment and Fees
The initial registration deadline is February 21 (Fall is August 15). This date is used to determine how many teams we field. Registration will reopen after the initial deadline for teams with openings. If we are over-rostered, the board will determine if we split teams, hold a tryout, have practice only players, etc. Teams are subject to roster requirements and coach availability. If there is not a team for your child, you will be refunded in full. Parents will be contacted by the end of the first week of March when teams are finalized.
Payment is required at time of registration via credit card or electronic check. Registration is $200 ($125 Fall).
Uniforms – There is no additional uniform fee. The club will provide uniforms to use during the season.

LFYS is a volunteer led organization. We cannot execute our soccer programming without a number of volunteers throughout the year. Whether that is serving on the board, coaching, helping with equipment, etc., we need you to continue building this program! We are always looking for coaches, referees, and advisory board members.
